Sandeman Port for the Holidays
With
the chill of winter and the spirit of the Holiday Season
settling into the air, sipping a glass of port at the end of
the day can provide the perfect finish. And, of course, Sandeman
is one of the most trusted names in the biz. Our tasting panel
sampled a few of their offerings recently and found a lot to
like.

Review:
A bouquet of black cherry, red currant, dark chocolate,
and walnuts greets the senses. A sip delivers flavors
of cherries, plums, and currants that open up into nutty
and chocolatey suggestions. A lush, fruit-driven port,
relax with a glass on its own, or pair it with your favorite
chocolate.

Review:
Fragrances of walnuts, vanilla, caramel, apricots, and
sweet spice rise up from a glass. Peach and apricot flavors
emerge on palate, accented by suggestions of fruit cake
spices, vanilla, and walnut. Layered and supple, it's
a lovely, complex port.

Review:
Aromas of blackberries, plums, and currants interweave
with traces of all-spice and pepper on the nose. Flavors
of bramble fruit, cassis, and blueberry come together
with nuances of smoky oak, spice, and caramel on the palate.
Supple and smoky, this is a rich, layered port that's
lovely on its own.
