Announcing the 2009 "Lodi ZinFest - Wine, Food, and Fun at the Lake"

LODI, Calif. - Dec. 17, 2008 - Lodi Wine Country announces the 5th annual "Lodi ZinFest - Wine, Food, and Fun at the Lake" on May 15-17, 2009. Celebrating Lodi's heritage Zinfandel grape. ZinFest will showcase the wines of California's premier wine destination, Lodi Wine Country.

Vintners' Grille at the Lake from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at Lodi Lake Park, 1301 W. Turner Rd., Lodi - Enjoy a glass of wine with local vintners as they share a selection of Lodi's finest wines paired with delectable cuisine. Tickets for the dinner are $75 per person.

ZinFest Wine Festival 12 noon to 6 p.m. at Lodi Lake Park, 1301 W. Turner Rd., Lodi -

The ZinFest Wine Festival will feature over 50 wineries pouring award-winning Lodi wines, food from the region's best restaurants, live music, plus a variety of activities throughout the day. Noted wine specialists and chefs will offer something for everyone at the ZinFest Wine & Cooking School. Festival visitors will be able to create their own Zinfandel in the 'Blend Your Own Wine' tent. Wine related arts, crafts, and specialty items will be offered for sale, including locally grown artisan foods. Wines poured at the festival will be available for purchase at the ZinFest Wine Shoppe. Also available to the public is the ZinFest commemorative Old Vine Zinfandel. Tickets are $35 in advance or $45 at the gate. Food and merchandise sold separately.

Winery Open Houses - The wineries of Lodi Wine Country will be hosting open houses allowing festival attendees to taste their complete line of wines, experience their warm hospitality and take part in a variety of special activities.
