fresh baked bread as our on-site bakers

every day. But our sourdough bread is

                                        SF continues my father's longstanding
                                        commitment to providing our customers
and their families with wholesome, delicious

Each Boudin SF is home to a portion of
                                        the bakery's "mother dough,"
created by master baker Isidore Boudin
at the start of the Gold Rush from wild
yeast indigenous to only San Francisco's
fog-cooled climate. A key ingredient in
                                        creating the bread's unique dark-golden,
crunchy crust and soft, chewy, tangy center,
a portion of Boudin's original "mother
dough" -- which has been replenished
with flour and water every day for more
than 150 years -- is present in every
