A nose that's reminiscent of plums, black cherries, pomegranate,
and fresh herbs rises up from a glass. Black cherry, plum,
and pomegranate flavors envelop the palate, along with
accents of herbs and spice. Ripe, yet still lively, with
well integrated tannins, it's meant to be enjoy with beef
stew.

A savory nose brings together aromas of smoked green chilies,
game, white pepper, and bramble berries. A sip reveals
flavors of blackberry and cherry that mingle among highlights
of cedar, pepper, and green chili. It's not for fans of
fruity, new-world wines but fans of hearty, herbaceous
reds must try this.

One is greeted by aromas of blueberries and plums that
move into expressions of graham cracker, all-spice, and
spring flowers. Cocoa tannins frame flavors of blueberry,
blackberry, and plum along with accents of minerals, nutmeg,
and violets. Solid fruit and structure, as well as its
dry finish make this a ideal food wine, especially for
the price. Enjoy with your favorite Mexican dish.

Merlot
Region: South
Africa

Review:
There's cherry and plum aromas that interweave among suggestions
of herbs, game, and vanilla on the nose. Plush tannins
carry flavors of blackberries, cherries, and plums into
nuances of herbs and bacon on the palate. A nice balance
of fruit and non-fruit flavors make this a rather interesting
Merlot. Fans of a more reserved, earthy style really ought
to check it out.
