Italian Week in the United States!
June 18 — 24, 2008
Residents
and tourists in both New York and Washington D.C.
will have the opportunity to sample the authentic
food and wine of the Salento area of the Puglia
Region of Italy during
the week of June 18 - 24. Starting
first in the Chelsea Market area of New York City,
the schedule of events concentrates on press events
and food service professionals, and concludes with
a final tasting event open to the public Friday and
Saturday from 12:00 pm – 7:00 pm,
with a happy hour during the hours of 5:00
pm – 6:00 pm. Noted Chef
Odette Fada of acclaimed Italian restaurant
San
Domenico, will be preparing the Italian
specialties for the gala dinner and New York City
events, and Chef
Enzo Fargione will be presenting the pairings
at the Teatro
Goldoni Restaurant in Washington D.C
