Wines of the Week: Rosés For Mom

With Mother's Day coming up, one could always by mom the tried and true red roses, but we'd bet that a lot of moms out there would prefer the kind they can drink. So here are some Rosés that are all tasty, not too pricey, and great for Sunday bunch.

A friendly, delicate nose of red berries, melons, and citrus blossoms rises up from a glass. The palate showcases flavors of strawberry, watermelon, and honeydew that mix among hints of minerals and spring flowers. Welcoming fruit and an approachable acidity make this a very sipable wine.

Strawberries, raspberries, and citrus fruits meld among whispers of minerals on the nose. On the palate, there's an interplay of peach and strawberry flavors that are accented by allusions of citrus and wet stone. This is a balanced, flavorful Rosé that one could sip on a warm evening or enjoy with fresh, grilled fish.
