As friends and neighbors to the wineries and businesses of the Douro region,
Amorim's Quinta Nova Winery harvests their own grapes, and mingles with neighbor wine makers.

Their Hotel Rural Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo, the first wine hotel in Portugal, appeared in 2005 after the reconstruction of the old manor house (18th century) in complete harmony with the landscape.

Guests there can get a real understanding of the spirit of the Douro Valley by
observing winemaking and farming activities, following the walkers' trails and discovering the historic sites on the estate.

The re-acquaintance with tradition allows guests to select one of the 11 rooms overlooking the vineyards and the river, decorated in the style of the period and guarantee of every possible comfort.
